
Enyimba’s 3‑1 victory over Kwara United on matchday 17 of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, was no fluke, according to interim head coach Lawrence Ukaegbu.
Chidera Michael netted two quick goals, while Micheal Agu’s was also for the People’s Elephant.
Toyeeb Gidado scored for Kwara United in the game.
Ukaegbu said the result matched his plans and expectations from the game
“We really trained well for the match. It wasn’t a surprise; it was a good game for us,” Ukaegbu told club media.
“It was a good game, and that was what we expected.”
The win lifted Enyimba to eighth place in the NPFL table with 23 points from 17 matches.
Enyimba will be up against El-Kanemi Warriors in a matchday 18 encounter this weekend.
