Brown Ideye, a forward for Enyimba, expressed his gratitude for the club’s support following his announcement of leaving the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL). After nearly 20 years, Ideye made his return to the NPFL, having previously played for Ocean Boys during the 2006/07 season. The striker, who was part of the 2013 AFCON-winning team, tweeted that it was a privilege to play for Enyimba, a club he will remember fondly. He scored two goals in seven appearances for the two-time CAF Champions League victors. “I want to express my gratitude to the Chairman, Staff, my teammates, and fans of Enyimba FC for an incredible journey,” Brown Ideye stated. “It has been a privilege to wear the jersey and represent one of the top football clubs in Nigeria and Africa. As I transition to the next chapter, I cherish the wonderful memories we’ve built together both on and off the field, and I am thankful for the love, respect, and support you’ve shown me from the very beginning. This club will forever hold a special place in my heart.” With affection and gratitude.
