This victory marked the end of Enyimba’s seven-game winless streak in the league. Joseph Atule opened the scoring for Enyimba just before halftime. The visitors equalized with a goal from Anas Yusuf two minutes shy of the hour mark. Substitute Ideye scored the decisive goal in the 62nd minute. This was the striker’s second goal in three matches for the Aba giants in all competitions.
