NPFL: Ikorodu City responds to Aweroro’s transfer to Shooting Stars.  

Ikorodu City has expressed its appreciation for coach Nurudeen Aweroro’s dedicated service to the team. Aweroro has departed from Ikorodu City by mutual agreement, as announced by the club. The young coach has now been appointed as the new head coach of Shooting Stars, succeeding Gbenga Ogunbote, who was dismissed by the club’s management this week. In an official statement on X, Ikorodu City thanked Aweroro for his contributions and wished him success in his future endeavors. During his time with Ikorodu City, he led the team to a respectable fourth-place finish in their first season in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL. He took over the coaching responsibilities halfway through the season after the dismissal of Bright Ozegbage.
