​NPFL: Lokosa Promises Enyimba Supporters: ‘I’ll Start Scoring Goals Soon!’    

 

Junior Lokosa, a former international player for Nigeria, has shared his reasons for rejoining Enyimba after his time abroad. He has also promised fans that he will start scoring goals soon, despite currently facing a dry spell, according to Completesports. According to reports, the ex-Kano Pillars forward has joined the People’s Elephant on a six-month contract during the January transfer window, after previously playing for Simba FC in Tanzania and Esperance Sportive de Tunis. Lokosa, who is 31 years old, was the leading scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) during the 2017/2018 season. To date, he has participated in three league matches for Enyimba—facing Rivers United, Akwa United, and El-Kanemi Warriors—yet has not scored. Before the Matchday 29 match against Ikorodu City FC, Lokosa expressed confidence in his team’s prospects for the important game taking place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Sunday. “I decided to join Enyimba because it ranks among the top clubs in Nigeria and is also one of the largest in Africa,” Lokosa remarked. It’s an honor to join them, and I feel glad to be included in the family. As they prepare for the away match against Ikorodu City, Lokosa noted the difficulties of competing in a well-known stadium. “Ikorodu City is performing well and will benefit from the backing of their home crowd.” He remarked, “People in Lagos are deeply enthusiastic about football. However, we will put in our best efforts on the field since we understand our goals and what we’re striving for.” The game ahead won’t be straightforward, but considering how we’ve played in our previous two matches, we’re feeling positive and in good shape. “It will be a tough match since they just secured a win on the road and will aim to make a strong impression on their home crowd.
