Majin Mohammed, the technical adviser for Niger Tornadoes, acknowledged that Shooting Stars rightfully earned their victory during the 30th matchday of the Nigeria Premier Football League on Sunday. The Ikon Allah Boys were defeated 3-1 by Shooting Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan. Scorers for Shooting Stars included centre-back Ayodeji Bamidele, left-back Samuel Okon in his debut match, and forward Anthony Okachi, while Niger Tornadoes managed to score through Sunday Williams. Mohammed emphasized the need for his team to put the loss behind them. “We didn’t come here with the expectation of losing, but such things occur in football,” he stated following the match. “We will accept the outcome positively and prepare for the next game.” The Minna club remained in 10th place on the standings, accumulating 40 points from 30 matches. In their upcoming match on Wednesday, Tornadoes will be playing away against Akwa United. Reported by Adeboye Amosu.
