Sunshine Stars’ welfare officer, Abdulrahman Abdulsalam, has been charged with violating the NPFL Framework and Rules after an investigation into the Matchday 19 game between his team and Ikorodu City. According to the NPFL, Abdulsalam’s actions, including careless public remarks, went against the regulations that require all participants to maintain professionalism and exemplary conduct. He has been handed a three-match suspension effective immediately. He is prohibited from participating in any activities related to the NPFL with Sunshine Stars during the ban. The league organization clarified that this punishment is intended to encourage all participants to uphold high standards in the league.
