NPFL: Pillars Director Yaro Yaro Expects Challenging Match Against Abia Warriors

Ahmed Garba Yaro, assistant coach of Kano Pillars, has referred to Abia Warriors as a “daunting opponent.” His team is set to play against Imama Amapakabo’s squad at the Sani Abacha Stadium today (Saturday). Yaro Yaro stated in an interview with the club’s media, “Going up against Abia Warriors, especially given their current strong form and with Imama as their coach, presents a significant challenge not only for us but for any team in the league.” Nonetheless, he is hopeful that the Pyramid City team will earn full points and capitalize on their recent 2-1 win against El-Kanemi Warriors. The match for day 20 has been moved to Wednesday. “Abia Warriors have proven to be a formidable team, showcasing impressive football under Imama, someone I have great respect for due to his approach to the game,” said Yaro Yaro. “If the players maintain the right mindset and the coaching staff contributes effectively, I am confident we will win again, just as we did against El-Kanemi Warriors.” As of now, Kano Pillars are ranked ninth in the league standings, having accumulated 32 points from 23 games. Meanwhile, Abia Warriors are in fourth place with a total of 36 points. – By Adeboye Amosu
