​NPFL: Rangers Defeat Kwara United to Break Winless Run    

 

Holders Rangers bounced back to victory in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) with a 3-0 win against Kwara United at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu on Saturday. Under the management of Fidelis Ilechukwu, the team had achieved one win and one draw in their preceding two league matches. Chiedozie Okorie opened the scoring just a minute into the match, followed by Isaac Saviour who increased the lead in the 29th minute. Frank Uwuniro sealed the victory with a third goal two minutes after the hour mark. Rangers have ascended to third place in the standings, accumulating 45 points from 29 matches. The Flying Antelopes are set to face Nasarawa United in their upcoming game. Meanwhile, Kwara United is positioned 12th with 39 points also from 29 matches, and Tunde Sanni’s team will welcome Akwa United for their next league encounter. Reported by Adeboye Amosu.
