Honourable Frank Annoh Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri, has urged the NPP to re-establish Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as their presidential candidate for the 2028 votes.
No candidate has actually won the presidency at the first attempt, according to Annoh Dompreh, who stated in a recent interview that it only makes sense for Bawumia to receive a second and even if necessary, a fourth try to win energy.
He said the two previous NPP Presidents of the 4th Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and John Agyekum Kufour, both lost before eventually winning. Kufour lost again, in 1996, before winning in 2000, and Akufo-Addo lost a staggering two days – again to John Atta Mills in 2008 and to John Mahama in 2012 before finally seizing power in 2016.
Annoh Dompreh said:” I honor Kennedy Agyapong. He is a good guy and a genuine blue-party individual, but I will also help Dr Bawumia for the presidency. I think it would be most cruel to leave Dr Bawumia because, in our history, nothing has won the presidency at again.
” President Akufo-Addo himself three days, President Kufuor himself two days, so I think it will be most cruel, but I value Kennedy Agyapong,”
