U.S. based Ghanaian media personality, Afia Pokuaa popularly known as Vim Lady, has predicted that the NPP will be in opposition for a long time due to the strategic appointments being made by President, John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking on her radio show, Vim Lady praised Mahama for appointing so many young people to prominent roles in his administration. According to her, these acts will ensure the loyalty of these people and attract many other young people to the NDC.
She said Mahama’s approach is far superior to the Akufo-Addo approach where he gave the most prominent and juicy roles in his administration either to his close family, friends or longtime cronies.
Vim Lady said most young people entering politics will now be attracted to the NDC which will grow the party while the NPP will struggle to grow its membership. She said the NDC will therefore have it easier winning elections going forward.
Afia Pokuaa made these comments in reaction to the appointment of Abeikua Santana, KOD and others to various roles in the NDC government.
