NSA Ribadu meets US congress delegation in Abuja

The National Security Adviser, NSA, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, said on Sunday that he hosted a United States congressional delegation on a fact-finding mission in Nigeria.

The meeting with the US delegation followed earlier consultations with Nigerian officials in Washington, D.C.

According to Ribadu, the delegation was led by Mario Díaz-Balart and included Norma Torres, Scott Franklin, Juan Ciscomani and Riley M. Moore.

He added that the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Richard Mills, was also present at the meeting.

“Discussions focused on counter-terrorism cooperation, regional stability and strengthening the Nigeria–US strategic security partnership,” Ribadu said.

He expressed confidence that the engagement would strengthen trust, enhance collaboration, and reinforce shared commitment to peace and security.
