Rivers Angels have finalized plans to introduce their new head coach, Tosan Blankson, before the start of the new Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season. The unveiling ceremony is set to be held at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Elekahia on Sunday. Additionally, the club will present the players and the new jerseys for the season during the event. The club’s General Manager, Mrs. Matilda Otuene-Onyiloha, highlighted the importance of engaging with fans and showcasing the team that will represent Rivers State in the upcoming season. “This marks a new chapter for Rivers Angels.” “We want our fans to get a chance to meet the players who will represent Rivers State as the league kicks off on January 15th,” she said in a statement. “We are very grateful to our supporters and encourage them to come out in large numbers on Sunday at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.” This reveal is meant for them, and we are excited to celebrate together at the stadium. Rivers Angels will face Ibom Angels in their first match of the new season at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt. The season is set to begin on Saturday, January 15th.
