The Paramount Ruler of Idoma Worldwide, Och’Idoma Agaba-Idu, Elaigwu Obagaji, has been installed as the Chancellor of Federal University, Otuoke in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.
DAILY POST reports that the installation took place on Thursday at the university’s main campus as part of activities for the institution’s second combined convocation, which also featured the convocation lecture.
Accepting the responsibility, the Idoma monarch pledges to do everything within his power to serve with sincerity and commitment.
“I shall serve with openness, goodwill, and a genuine desire to make this institution a home of excellence and pride.
“The Federal University of Otuoke carries a responsibility to raise men and women who can build, innovate, and heal this great nation,” he said.
On his part, the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Ali Sa’ad Birnin Kudu said the installation would turn everything around for the best in the institution.
