The Prime Minister of Senegal, Ousmane Sonko, will pay an official visit to the Republic of Turkey from 6 to 10 August 2025, in the framework of the strengthening of bilateral relations between Dakar and Ankara. This move is part of a dynamic of strategic cooperation between the two countries, notably in the fields of economy, education, infrastructure, defence and diplomacy. Several high-level meetings are planned with the Turkish authorities. On the sidelines of his visit, the Senegalese Head of Government will meet, on Saturday 9 August, with members of the Senegalese community residing in Turkey. The aim of this exchange was to address their concerns, strengthen ties with the diaspora and reaffirm the key role it plays in the development of the country.
