David Okereke is close to finalizing a permanent move to Kocaelispor, a team in the Turkish Super Lig. Last season, he was loaned to another Super Lig team, Gaziantep FK, from Serie B club Cremonese, where he performed notably, scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists in 30 league matches. The 26-year-old, who previously represented Nigeria at the U-23 level, has returned to Gaziantep after a successful loan period. Reports from Turkey indicate that Kocaelispor has successfully signed him from Cremonese. Okereke has allegedly come to an agreement on personal terms with the newly-acquired club.
