Seyi Olofinjana, a former Nigerian international, believes that Kelechi Iheanacho, the Super Eagles forward, will soon return to his top form at Middlesbrough. Since transferring to the club during the January window, Iheanacho has faced challenges with his performance, managing only one goal in the ongoing Championship season. In a discussion with Brila FM, Olofinjana shared his confidence that Iheanacho will soon regain his peak performance. “I don’t believe this is an issue related to Kelechi.” The crucial issue is whether the club made adequate efforts to assist him in adapting and fostering a supportive atmosphere for his success. “If Kelechi had the opportunity to share his thoughts, I believe he would provide his own viewpoint on how events transpired.” Olofinjana responded to Victor Orta’s remarks in a Brila interview, stating, “You can’t just make such a statement. There is still much more to his abilities than what we’ve observed.” The former Hull City midfielder expressed his confidence that he can recover and elevate his career further.
