Cyriel Dessers scored one goal, and an own goal by a Ghanaian defender contributed to Nigeria’s success in this exciting ‘Jollof’ derby. Following the match, Onyeka spoke with NFF TV, expressing that the game held greater significance than a typical friendly. He emphasized, “Nigeria’s rivalry with Ghana means we approached this match with a serious mindset because losing to them is not an option. The positive aspect is that we capitalized on the first half by scoring two goals.” Even though the latter part wasn’t ideal, we managed to maintain our one-goal lead.
