The Unpaid Benefits Campaign organisation urges community members to enquire with them before attending meetings that are not advertised within their usual channels.

Kwa-Thema–  Ephraim Mpye, a founder of the Unpaid Benefits Campaign organisation, has urged community members to ignore meeting notices sent through WhatsApp or other social media platforms.

The organisation has been assisting individuals to claim benefits such as unpaid pension funds, provident funds, among others.

Since its inception, the organisation has submitted applications of some of the unpaid applicants to different companies.

“People are suddenly attending meetings outside of our knowledge as founders. Our biggest fear is scammers who may be on a mission to con elderly people using our organisation’s name.

“I want everyone to be aware of this and should know that we broadcast meeting notices and announcements through the African Reporter and nowhere else.

“For years we have been operating through the paper. I can no longer access certain individuals who I was in the process of assisting due to them attending the wrong meetings,” explained Mpye.

Mpye mentioned that the organisation was established to serve the community and is not owned by an individual. He urges community members to contact him on 078 482 4169 for any enquires and concerns in order to avoid miscommunication.
