Victor Osimhen maintained his remarkable scoring streak by netting two goals in Galatasaray’s 4-1 victory over Sivasspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday. He has now accumulated a total of 24 goals in 27 league matches and 33 goals in 37 games across all competitions this season. The Super Eagles forward has scored four times in his last three outings for the Turkish club. He currently tops the Turkish league’s scoring list, outpacing Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek of Istanbul Basaksehir by four goals. Lucas Torreira, a former Arsenal player, opened the scoring in the ninth minute, followed by Osimhen who extended the lead to 2-0 in the 15th minute. Baris Yilmaz then made it 3-0 in the 21st minute, with Osimhen scoring the fourth goal in the 31st minute. Just two minutes after Galatasaray’s fourth goal, Rey Manaj found the net for Sivasspor. With 20 minutes remaining, Osimhen was substituted for Dries Mertens. This victory brings Galatasaray’s points total to 83, giving them an eight-point lead over second-placed Fenerbahce in the standings.
