Osun CP charges newly promoted officers to be more dedicated to duty 

The Osun State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Gotan, has charged newly promoted Assistant Superintendents of Police, ASP, in the state to be more committed to duty as they wear their new rank.

CP Gotan also urged them to continue upholding the highest standards of the Nigeria Police.

Gotan, who was represented by DCP Adebisi Bola Lateef, gave the charge during a decoration ceremony on Tuesday at the Command Headquarters in Osogbo.

Gotan said, “Be more committed to your duties as newly promoted Assistant Superintendents of Police. As you wear your new ranks, strive to uphold the highest standards of the Nigeria Police at all times.”

While congratulating the newly promoted officers, Gotan appreciated the Police Service Commission (PSC) and the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for the promotion.

“Your promotion and decoration to your new ranks today reflect our commitment to rewarding hard work and merit,” Gotan noted.

He also assured that the Osun State Police Command will not rest on its oars to make the state a sanctuary.

DAILY POST gathered that the promotion of the officers from the rank of Inspector of Police to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) by the Police Service Commission followed a recommendation by the Inspector-General of Police.
