Oyo fire agency recovers 27-year-old man from well in Ibadan 

Oyo State Fire Service has recovered the body of a 27-year-old man from a well in Ibadan, the state capital.

The agency made this revelation in a statement issued by its Chairman, Hon Maroof Akinwande.

Akinwande said the incident occurred at 5, Binukonu Olota, Laogun area of Ibadan on Thursday evening.

He added that the incident was as a result of inhalation of ammonia gas by the victim when trying to clean some debris inside the abandoned well.

Akinwande said, “upon arrival, the officer quickly swung into action with necessary rescue equipment and recovered the body and handed it over to a team of policemen from Gbagi Police Divisional Headquarters, Ibadan.

“The incident was as a result of inhalation of ammonia gas by the victim when trying to clean some debris inside the abandoned well”.
