Pakao: Manconomba célèbre la Tabaski in peace and unity

The community of Pakao Manconomba celebrated the Feast of Tabaski, also called Eid el-Kébir, in an atmosphere of joy, harmony and communion. On this occasion, Imam Elhadji Mbemba Ndiaye delivered a strong message, calling on the faithful to preserve the living together through peace, solidarity and mutual aid. During his sermon, the imam prayed for peace and national concord, also formulating prayers for the Palestinian people, victim of the occupation of the Israeli army led by Benyamin Netanyahu. His message, an imprint of spirituality and wisdom, found a particular echo in the hearts of the faithful gathered for this moment of high religious significance. Surrounded by the notables of the village, several speakers recalled the importance of the community of life, the base of social cohesion within the Pakao. “Let us continue to perpetuate our ancestral values”, declared one of the village sages. Elhadji Sagna, a respected figure of the locality, has for his part expressed his concern at the mounting divisions engendered by the “politique politique”, which he considers as a threat to the sacred union which underlies the vivre-ensemble. In addition, the persistent problem of the electrification of the village was mentioned.
