​Parliamentary diplomacy: Malick Ndiaye carries the voice of Senegal at the African and G20 summits 

  The President of the National Assembly, Mr El Malick Ndiaye, arrived on Saturday 27 September in Johannesburg, South Africa, to take part in two important international parliamentary meetings. He will take part, on 29 and 30 September 2025, in the annual Conference of the Presidents of the African Parliaments, on the theme: “Transforming the Parliaments for a Continental Integration Led by the Citizens, Sustainable Development, Prosperity, Peace and the Role of Africa on the World Stage”. On this occasion, he will deliver a communication on “The strengthening of the role of parliaments in continental integration”, highlighting Senegal’s contribution to this process. He also participated in the eleventh Summit of Presidents of Parliaments of the G20 (P20), organised from 1 to 3 October 2025 in Cape Town, in partnership with the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), on the theme: “Mettre la diplomatie parlementaire au service de la solidarité mondiale, de l’égalité et de la durabilité”.. These meetings will provide a privileged opportunity for bilateral meetings, for strengthening parliamentary diplomacy, for promoting dialogue between representative institutions and for affirming the voice of Senegal on the international scene.
