PASTEF: One year of power, one revolution in march! (by Dr. Mamadou CISSE) (by Dr. Mamadou CISSE) (by Dr. Mamadou CISSE) (by Dr. Mamadou CISSE) This is the first time

One year after its accession to the supreme magistracy, PASTEF continues its commitment to a profound transformation of Senegal. Between structural reforms, bold initiatives and the constant mobilisation of militants, the change is under way, driven by an unwavering will to rebuild the country on solid foundations. Far from weakening the movement, these trials have strengthened its resilience, galvanised its militants and sharpened the strategic vision of its leadership. It is this alliance between a clear vision, an unfailing mobilization and an expertise of the terrain that has allowed PASTEF to overturn the status quo and take the reins of the country. Despite their defeat, the former tenants of power persist in denial, nourishing a rancor that prevents them from accepting the new political reality. In the absence of a credible alternative, they cling to the same old threads: disinformation, manipulation and sterile attacks. Yet the facts speak for themselves. Despite a disastrous financial legacy, marked by an abysmal budgetary gap and a salary mass that has become unsustainable, the Sonko-Diomaye duo has launched a dynamic of structural reforms, laying the foundations of a true economic and social sovereignty. Agricultural policy: land security, modernization of the sectors and the autonomy of the producers. Industrial policy: valorisation of local resources, promotion of the’made in Senegal’ and support for SMEs. Fiscal reforms: sanitization of the tax system, fight against evasion and better redistribution of wealth. Social reforms: strengthening of social protection networks, equitable access to basic services and improvement of the living conditions.
