Gospel singer Sonnie Badu has been slammed by social media users after dropping a video promising to dash people $300, the same amount of money Mzbel called him out for owing her.
Badu, instead of settling his debt to the singer, decided to prove to the whole world that he’s rich and can spend more than $300 whenever he feels like.
In a new video, he asked his followers to help him find widows, brilliant but needy students and people with health challenges who need money for him to help them.
He promised to give out $300 each to any person whose plight he found touching. Badu claimed the spirit of God had spoken to him to carry out the donation.
His video comes days after Mzbel exposed the gospel singer for owing her over $300. According to her, Badu had owed her for over 8 years and despite all her efforts, has ignored her.
Netizens, reacting to Badu’s video, called him out for being petty and a bad representative of God.
“What kind of pettiness is this? See someone that says God is using him smh,” one netizen wrote.
Another said: “That’s not it badu! Pay the woman her money and stop this silliness!!”
