A Penticton, B. C., person is up household recovering after he was allegedly attacked outside of a local wine store three days before Christmas. Vincent Florence, age 28, claims that he only recalls going to the Barley Mill wine shop in Penticton on Sunday night after having a dozen drinks at the nearby restaurant. In the middle of the night, Florence’s family received a dreadful visit from a physician at Kelowna General Hospital, where he was transported for mental operation. ” It was 2: 30 a. m. and it was one of the specialists at the Kelowna medical stating that we needed to get in our car and get to the hospital right away because our son was really hurt”, said Florence’s family, Roxanne Zeiler. Florence was supposedly attacked by unwarranted neighbors outside the wine business. The incident was afterwards documented on surveillance video, and store personnel later explained to the community that two people had attacked and robbed their child. ” He’s my son and to believe someone would brutally hurt him for no reason and$ 100 in his wallet”, said Zeiler. Florence claims he is having trouble recalling the events of that night, but that he would have avoided issue if he had. ” If I was aware of what was going on I would have bought them any wine they wanted, I would’ve given them the money they needed, that’s the guy I am”, said Florence.
