​Pikine-Guédiawaye: the tribunal sentenced two young people to two years in prison for trafficking in crack 

  Le Tribunal des flagrants délits de Pikine-Guédiawaye was sentenced on Friday 15 November to two young people involved in a crack trafficking case. Jean Noël Niang, 31 years old, conducteur de moto Jakarta resident Castor, and Fatou Bintou Sèye, 20 years old, hairdresser domiciled in Ben Tally, have each received two years of prison ferme. They had been arrested on 3 November at the Thiaroye post, following a “surveiled delivery” by elements of the Diamaguène police post. At the bar, Fatou Bintou Sèye explained that she had been “trapped by an individual who revealed himself to be a policeman”, affirming that the latter would have asked him to call a number. She stated that she had contacted a dealer named Bamba with whom she had “ordered the crack”, before asking Jean Noël Niang to lead the capture zone to Thiaroye where the delivery was to be made. She was recognized during the survey as being a consommatrice et “facilitatrice de transactions”. For his part, Jean Noël Niang maintained that the drug had been found “in his pocket during a search”, affirming that he was unaware of the contents of the sachet.
