
Operatives of the CPāSpecial Assignment Team, CPāSAT, have arrested a 67-year-old suspected armed robber, Isiakpere Friday, in Abraka community, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State.
The suspect is currently cooling his heels in Police custody, DAILY POST report. Recovered from the suspect were two pump-action guns and 39 live cartridges.
Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed the report in a statement sent to DAILY POST correspondent in Warri.
According to the statement: āIn a continued effort to curb cult-related activities and the proliferation of illicit firearms within Delta State, operatives of the CP-SAT, led by ASP Julius Robinson, executed a successful intelligence-led operation in Abraka on December 6, 2025, at about 7:30 am.
āActing on credible intelligence, the operatives conducted a coordinated search at No. 2 Umeghe community, Abraka, the residence of Isiakpere Friday, male, 67 years old. The operation resulted in the recovery of two pump-action guns and 39 live cartridges.
āHe has been taken into custody as investigators expand inquiries to determine possible links to cult groups, arms suppliers, and other criminal networks operating within the region.ā
