Police rescue kidnapped victim in Delta 

Operatives of the Abraka Division in collaboration with vigilantes and hunters in Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State have successfully rescued a kidnapped victim who was abducted at his premises in Abraka Community.

The victim was rescued on 3 April 2026, following a report received on 1 April 2026.

The Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe confirmed the rescue of the victim in a statement in Warri.

He said, “The victim was abducted by armed men who invaded a residence at Denedo Extension, Abraka.”

According to him, “The Divisional Police Officer mobilised patrol teams in collaboration with vigilantes and hunters and stormed the bush where the victim was taken to.

“The suspects, upon noticing that the policemen were closing in on them, abandoned the victim and took to their heels, leading to the victim’s rescue in a bush along the railway line.

“The victim is safe and has provided useful information, while efforts are ongoing to arrest the suspects.”
