​Political tensions in Senegal: Cheikh Bara Ndiaye reveals the proposals of President Diomaye Faye on the respect of institutions and the Sonko

The deputy Cheikh Bara Ndiaye, a controversial figure and cadre of the party, has recently made revelations about alleged exchanges between President Bassirou Diomaye Faye and Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. In a speech in Wolof, Ndiaye reported on the proposals attributed to the president, underlining the internal tensions around the respect of the institutions and the respective roles of the two leaders. These declarations come in a context of persistent rumors of dissent at the top of the State, amplified by public communiqués and critiques. At the heart of the controversy are the words reported by Cheikh Bara Ndiaye, pronounced in Wolof during a recent intervention: “DIOMAYE NEENA SONKO RESPECTEWUKO. I respect the institution.
