Arsenal’s coach Mikel Arteta stated that Gabriel Magalhães, Riccardo Calafiori, and Jurrien Timber are likely to be fit for the upcoming Premier League season. The three players missed the 1-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in a recent pre-season match. Both Gabriel and Timber have not played in any of the Gunners’ three matches in Asia due to injuries sustained towards the end of the previous season. Following the match, Arteta was questioned about their availability for the season opener against Manchester United on August 17, to which he responded: “I don’t think so.” If their development continues as it has over the past few days, Gabriel Magalhães, Calafiori, and Timber will all be ready for selection.
