I had the honour of receiving in audience, this Thursday 12 June, the Professor émérite, doyen Moustapha Kassé, grand économiste, and the honorable député, doyen Alla Kane, ex-inspecteur des impôts et des domaines, who had come to me to present their new work, the fruit of a long experience and a profound reflection. Two emblematic figures, companions of struggle who faced the rigors of clandestinity alongside the PAI, and who, today, observe with pride the emergence of a new generation engaged in the concretization of our common ideal: a sovereign, just and prosperous Senegal. Our exchanges have been of an exceptional richness. Their remarkable career, their tireless commitment and their precious intellectual heritage are a source of inspiration and a reference point for present and future generations. I express my deepest gratitude to them for the enlightened advice they have generously given me, the imprints of wisdom, of benevolence and of fidelity to the national ideal.
