President of Cameroon: Paul Biya confirms his supremacy for the 8th time

Paul-biya-rumeur-autour-de-sa-mort. This is the first time I’ve seen this. In the wake of the presidential elections held in Cameroon on 12 October, the National Commission for the Census of Votes delivered its verdict yesterday in favour of the outgoing president, pending the confirmation of the Constitutional Council. Paul Biya, 92 years old, in power for 43 years is declared the winner of the presidential elections with a score between 53 and 54% of the votes. He thus anticipates Issa Tchiroma Bakary, 72, who resigned from the government last June. The National Commission for the Recognition of Votes gave him a score of between 35 and 36%. Since Sunday, the former minister has claimed a victory with 60% of the vote. It is based on the verbal processes of the polling stations in its possession and which it has made public on social networks. Paul Biya is the oldest leader in the world. If his victory is confirmed, he will then begin his 8th consecutive term which he completed at nearly 100 years old.
