Under the guidance of the new authorities, transparency and good governance have become a reality. It is within this framework that the preparation and dissemination of the quarterly report on budgetary execution, which is an obligation of transparency and accountability in the management of public finances, takes place. This obligation is incumbent upon the Government. However, in the last report, the expenditure relating to the higher institutions (Présidence de la République et Assemblée nationale), as well as to the Primature, does not appear. The duo, in taking the reins of power, had alerted the public and condemned the manipulation of data by the old regime. The people must know and would not understand this withholding of information, which would certainly pose a problem of credibility and confidence vis-à-vis our financial partners, at a time when an IMF mission is in our country. Let us not give up in the face of an opposition which wants to make transparency its war horse! By publishing the expenditure relating to the Presidency, the Parliament and the Primature, the Government is thereby correcting and reaffirming its commitment to budgetary transparency and sound financial governance.
