​Public revenue: The Court of Auditors has found serious irregularities in the government report (2019-2024) 

  In its definitive report on the public finances, the Cour des comptes noted several anomalies concerning the revenue generated by the government. The official report indicates that ” the actual revenues of the general budget followed an upward trend between 2019 and 2023, with a slowdown in 2020 due to the fiscal relief measures put in place to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic”. However, the in-depth analysis of the Court of Auditors reveals that the revenues received over this period amounted to 22023 22019,22023 billion CFA francs, broken down as follows: Fiscal receipts: 53 22020,978 billion de F CFA. Other revenue: 223 22020,21 billion CFA francs Dons: 1 067,05 billion CFA francs, of which: Progression of the fiscal claims and anomalies noted. The report also highlighted a significant increase in tax receivables, the opening balance of which was CFAF 308.53 billion in 2019 compared to CFAF 3.2 billion at the end of March 2024, an increase of 32%. It should be noted that the revenue situation presented by the Government does not include the recoveries of the first quarter of 2024.In addition, the Court of Auditors underlines a general concordance between the revenues mentioned in the Governmental Report and those appearing in the lois de règlement/projets de loi de règlement 2023, thus confirming the consistency of the overall amounts of revenues recorded between 2019 and 2023.Nevertheless, several irregularities were detected, notably concerning:
