​Rangers’ Obaje Ruled Out Of President Federation Cup Oriental Derby Vs Heartland    

 

Fidelis Ilechukwu, aka ‘The Working One,’ Head Coach of Enugu Rangers, has confirmed that striker Godwin Obaje will not be available for selection when the Coal City Flying Antelopes take on Heartland in a President Federation Cup Round of 32 Oriental Derby clash at Awka City Stadium on Wednesday, 3 March 2025, Completesports.com reports.. Obaje is understood to have sustained an injury, though Ilechukwu did not disclose the nature of the former FC Ifeanyi Ubah forward’s setback.. Speaking with mixed emotions, Ilechukwu admitted that Obaje’s absence is a blow for Rangers ahead of their cup tie.. “Obaje got injured last time. Before the game against Plateau United, I wanted him to start, but he said no, that the doctor had advised he wasn’t yet 100 per cent fit,” Ilechukwu said.. “Against Plateau United, he got injured again. I don’t think he’s going to be ready for the next game—that’s the truth,” the former Plateau United coach added..
