Ghanaian media personality Vim Lady true name Afia Pokuaa, has brushed away the ongoing dialogue about flying officials worldwide for treatment, describing it as a long-standing process.
Vi Lady revealed that actually former President Jerry John Rawlings, who prided himself on being a nationalist, flew abroad to obtain treatment under a’ false name’ to avoid scrutiny.
The U. S. based writer said African politicians usually claim to be against the process when in criticism but once in energy, fly themselves overseas for treatment.
Pokuaa described the situation as a scathing indictment of the Ghanaian care program.
Discussions about officials flying overseas for care have been reignited after the Vice President, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, fell ill next year. The Presidency, in a speech, revealed that based on’ expert physician opinion’, she will be flown worldwide for further treatment.
This maneuver by the NDC comes despite quickly criticizing the NPP for flying officials worldwide during their day in opposition, insisting that Ghanaian health facilities are sufficient to treat their diseases.
