The rise in power of Senegalese services in the fight against international narcotics trafficking is increasingly confirmed. Since the beginning of the year, they have multiplied the seizures of drugs of all kinds. Between June and October 2025, Senegalese Customs seized a cumulative amount of 496 kg of cocaine. In addition, the joint seizure with the gendarmerie of 640 kg of cocaine, carried out in early August 2025, in the Dakar region. The strengthening of the customs surveillance system at the frontiers continues to bear fruit. On 13 June 2024, the commercial brigade of the Customs of Kalifourou seized 108,7 kg of cocaine.
