The Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, has rejected popular fuji musician, Wasiu Anifowose, known as KWAM 1, and his claim to the Awujale throne.
In a letter signed by the Chairman of the Ruling House, Otunba Lateef Owoyemi, and other members — and shared on Thursday by presidential aide Bayo Onanuga — the family stated that the musician’s submission for recognition was invalid.
According to the letter, Kwam 1’s submission of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House members’ particulars and linkage form was not signed by the authorized representative.
The Ruling House therefore declared the form submitted by Kwam 1 as null and void.
“Consequently, the completed linkage lineage form is hereby declared null, void, and of no consequence. For the avoidance of doubt, your claim to the membership of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House is rejected, and the completed Form is of no consequence”, the letter to Kwam1 stated.
Kwam 1 has not responded to the position of the Ruling House as of the time of filing this report.
