​Rural electrification: contracts will be renegotiated to cover ” 2 740 additional localities ” 

  The President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, announced on Thursday the renegotiation of major rural electrification contracts, with the aim of reaching 2 740 additional localities. “In order to achieve this objective of universal access to electricity, we are rigorously ensuring the proper execution of the projects so that deadlines are respected and costs are controlled, notably through the renegotiation of major contracts allowing the electrification of 2 740 additional localities “, a fait savoir le Chef de l’Etat. This approach is intended to accelerate projects for the rapid achievement of universal access to electricity. The 65th anniversary of the accession of Senegal to international sovereignty is placed under the theme: ” Towards the technological and industrial sovereignty of the defence forces “.
