The political militant of Pastef les patriotes Salimata Dieng has expressed, in a message widely relayed on social networks, her concerns about the current leadership of the coalition ” Diomaye Président “. According to her, this coalition would now be “obsolete” and would not be a grand thing without the presence of the PASTEF party Les Patriotes. In her text, Mrs Dieng invites the President Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar Faye to “depart from the hawks” whom she accuses of surrounding and “entraining him into a notorious illegality and illegitimacy”. “These hawks pursue only their interests”, she writes, believing that they are gradually alienating the militants sincere and faithful to the initial project carried out by the duo Sonko-Diomaye. Calling for a collective introspection, Salimata Dieng urges those in power to preserve the unity of the movement and to avoid any division between President Diomaye Faye and his Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko. “We have suffered too much in recent years. Let us preserve our mental health and remain faithful to the spirit of the project”, she concluded in a tone both solemn and emotional.
