Sammy Awuku Resigns From NLA As Director General  

The Director General of the National Lottery Authority ( NLA ), Sammy Awuku, has officially resigned from his position, effective 13th January 2025.
He was elected as a member of Parliament for the Akuapem North Constituency, which he has since assumed to indicate his constituents in Parliament.
Mr. Awuku stated in his resignation notice to President John Dramani Mahama that he would concentrate on his responsibilities as a Member of Parliament.
He noted that his new duties call for his complete devotion and care to effectively serve his electorate.
In August of this year, Mr. Awuku was confirmed by the Public Services Commission as the NLA’s Director General.
During his career, he oversaw important developments in the power, contributing to its development and administrative efficiency.
He politely requested in the notice that the President nominate a suitable alternative for the position to ensure a smooth transition and successful operation continuation. In all of his endeavors, he even wished the President the best of luck.
