Sarki alleged to be land agent for Wike – Umar sani

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Umar Sani, has alleged that former Senate President Bukola Saraki is acting as a land agent for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, in Abuja.

Sani made the claim during an interview on Trust TV while criticising Saraki’s comments on the ongoing crisis within the PDP, insisting that the former Senate President’s advice on the matter was unnecessary and misplaced.

“I have tremendous respect for Saraki and I have tried to avoid joining issues with him, but on his matter, I must tell you, he is not needed,” Sani said.

According to him, Saraki’s position on the crisis does not carry weight because of alleged ties to a faction loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

“His advice is definitely not necessary and misplaced because he is fully with the Wike faction. He is even rumored to be, with due respect, an agent for Wike selling lands in Abuja,” he alleged.

Sani also stressed that the key issue should now be resolved by the Supreme Court of Nigeria, which he said had already established the guiding legal principles being cited by other courts.

“What matters now is that the Supreme Court needs to take this matter into ordinance because it is the Supreme Court that laid out the basic rule. All other courts are merely quoting the Supreme Court,” he added.
