The tragedy occurred in a hotel in the commune of Sedhiou. The victim, named Ameth Ousmane Badji, had come with his lawyer for a trial opposing a structure of the place on a litigated land of several hectares. Before going to bed, he complained of malaise and his lawyer advised him to go to the hospital. He replied that it was probably related to fatigue. Unfortunately, he did not awaken from his sleep.
