Sénégal Mauritania: Abdoulaye Fall justifies the increase in the price of tickets for…

The President of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), Abdoulaye Fall, has come out of his silence in the face of the lively controversy provoked by the increase in the price of tickets for the Senegal-Mauritania match, scheduled for 14 October next at the Abdoulaye Wade de Diamniadio Stadium. Interrogated by Dsports, the patron du football sénégalais justified this decision by security imperatives. “We have increased the stadium tickets to avoid overflow, because 1,000 FCFA is too little and it leads to a large affluence difficult to manage and with security risks”, he explained. This justification was not, however, sufficient to calm the grief. On social networks, many supporters denounce a measure considered excessive, some mentioning a doubling or even a tripling of the usual tariffs. The contestation has reached the point that several fans are now calling for the boycott of this last meeting of the “Lions” in the eliminations of the 2026 World Cup.
