Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman featured prominently in Atalanta’s 1-1 draw against Juventus in a Serie A clash on Tuesday. The match marked Lookman’s 19th appearance of the season, during which he has scored nine goals and provided five assists for the club.
The visitors initially silenced the home crowd with a stunning goal from Pierre Kalulu, giving Juventus an early advantage. Atalanta pushed for an equalizer, but Lookman’s effort in the 60th minute was heroically cleared off the line by former Atalanta player Teun Koopmeiners.
Lookman was substituted in the 81st minute for Nicolò Zaniolo, and it was substitute Mateo Retegui who eventually restored parity for Atalanta with a well-placed header in the second half.
The draw leaves Roma in third place with 43 points, while Juventus holds fifth with 34 points on the Serie A table.
