The city of Ngaparou, in the Mbour department, was the scene of a serious drama in the night of Saturday to Sunday. Seyni Mane, a native of Tambacoumba in the south of the country, received a brick blow to the head following an altercation. The victim, aged 27, originally from Tambacoumba (Ziguinchor), married and father of two children, succumbed to his injuries during his evacuation to the clinic Urgence 24 de Saly-Portudal. The accused, who continues to deny any involvement, was himself wounded under the left ear by a machete carried by the Kankourang.
