Getting ready for your Holy Audio person…

The home of the late Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, former minister of defense, has written to the Ghanai state asking for specific selection casinos in the federal security service for qualified people of the families who lost loved ones in the tragic helicopter crash in August.
The appeal was made known as a tangible means for the country to embrace Dr. Boamah and the seven other top officials who perished.
A Request for Tangible Recognition
Omane Yaw Acheampong, an aunt of the later Minister, described Dr. Boamah as the mother’s “hope, image, service, and father” in an interview with reporters in Accra this year. He made it clear that the former minister had promised to assist several unemployed but qualified youth in the family in finding employment and that he was providing financial support to numerous relatives. Acheampong wrote,” Our humble appeal is for the government to think about allowing the families of the eight statemen who died in that tragic crash to have some recruitment slots in the security services, or any government agency,” in a letter to the president.
He added that a gesture like this would “be a clear demonstration that the state values the sacrifices of its servants and intends to care for those they left behind.”
The family believes that this kind of support would not only benefit the bereaved but also strengthen patriotism and reassure all public servants that their contributions to society are valued.
A Memorial to the STEM field’s legacy
The family is urging the government to set up a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) training facility in Effiduase, Koforidua, in addition to the employment request. They suggest that this facility be a fitting and permanent tribute to Dr. Boamah’s varied legacy as a devoted public servant, physician, and scientist.
The Tragedy’s Background
Eight Ghana Air Force employees were traveling to an anti-Gamma-lamsey engagement when a Harbin Z-9 helicopter carrying them crashed in a mountainous forest in the Ashanti Region on August 6, 2025. There were no survivors.
Dr. Omane Boamah was a well-known member of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC ) and a medical professional by training. Prior to his appointment as minister of defense on February 1, 2025, he held a number of important positions in the government, including minister of communications and presidential spokesperson.
