SPL: PIF yields to Cristiano Ronaldo’s pressure, as player ends striker

Portugal legend Cristiano Ronaldo has ended his strike at Al-Nassr.

His protest was against the Saudi PIF, and the Portuguese star is ready to return to Al-Nassr’s game this weekend.

The ex-Real Madrid player had skipped his team’s past two matches to express his disagreement with the club’s management.

A Bola reports that the PIF has given in to Ronaldo’s pressure and has paid some of the club staff’s unpaid salaries.

There have also been meetings to bring back the club’s CEO, José Semedo, and Sporting Director, Simão Coutinho, who were asked to step back in December.

Cristiano Ronaldo will not be included in the Al-Nassr squad that travels to Turkmenistan to play against Arkadag in the AFC Champions League 2 on Wednesday.

The player will be back for his team when they face Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday.
